Story
Vital Garden Supply started offering safe, organic products for farmers and gardeners in 2006 in Grass Valley, CA. Vital's family business values and customer support, combined with a desire to change the way people grow, have helped Vital build a loyal following. Vital now calls Nevada City, CA home — an amazing small town in the Sierra Foothills, where the home office and retail store are located and you can always find a knowledgeable, experienced gardener behind the counter.

For the past 20 years, Vital has been proud to be a pioneer in the organic nutrient industry, as well as to set new standards for organic cultivation practices. All Vital products have been proven effective in the field and the lab to ensure success before going to market. The organic movement has evolved and become quite competitive, but our commitment to helping farmers and gardeners hasn't changed — large or small, we're here to help all growers succeed!

Hi I'm Brian, the founder and CEO of Vital Garden Supply.
In the early 2000's I had a young family and we were growing a lot of our own food, living in the hills of Northern California raising kids & enjoying a natural lifestyle. We were buying "organic products" for the garden — or at least I thought they were — but there were some ingredients that didn't sound organic to me.
Something clicked…
I started to think about starting a business that had more integrity than big agricultural businesses. Not a Hydro store either! But an Organic supply company that people could trust! No greenwashing, just a pure organic based business that did not sell anything that was not Organic! Here we are 20 years later, we have over 21 triple certified organic products under the Vital Garden Products label and our commitment is stronger than ever! There is an organic solution for any agricultural issues, and we won't rest until all crops are grown organically!
